CWTA Education Committee Meeting
Cassie Cresswell of Illinois Families for Public Schools will be our guest presenter.
Our agenda will briefly review the number and status of the Federal Education issues that are confronting us and their potential impact on Chicago and Illinois. We will also likewise summarize the issues now confronting CPS and their potential impact for our future and ongoing considerations.
At 6:15 Cassie will be introduced to discuss the issue of the proposed national Federal Voucher, its potential impact and what actions CWTA, and other allies and a concerned public can do. Questions and Discussions will follow as well as a vote or resolution to participate in actions with IFPs.
At 6:45 I will briefly present information on CPS issues that deserve priority public attention and possible actions- :1)The Arts Education strategic Plan and 2) the search for a new Superintendent.
At 7:00 Committee members and attendees can make brief announcements of relevant events and matters they wish to bring to the committees attention
7:15 Adjourn.
