Support Our Shared Work

Dear Friend,

We hope that you are proud of Chicago Women Take Action (CWTA) and thankful for our work.
There are so many reasons why….

●  the Mayoral Forum CWTA put on with its 40 Alliance partners earlier this year that informed your vote.
●  all that you learned at the CWTA monthly Zoom meetings with movers and shakers.
●  the information you have received on important actions you can take.
●  the work the Community Safety and Accountability Committee did over the years with the consortium that created the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability, the new city agency that allows for citizen oversight of the Chicago Police Department, and elected citizen police councils in every police district.
●  the actions of the Climate and Environmental Justice Committee has taken to mobilize key voices to explain local legislation, organize a review and response to Chicago’s sustainability plan, and participate in the Building Equity Summit.
●  the efforts the Health Committee has made on behalf of universal health care, women’s health, and reproductive justice.

Finally, you may simply be happy to interact with women activists of all ages who share your values.

If you are proud of and thankful for these and so many other things Chicago Women Take Action has done to advance the Women’s Agenda, please support our shared work by making a financial contribution. Although we are a volunteer-run organization, it does take money to make CWTA thrive and grow. You can help underwrite CWTA by becoming or renewing your membership ($50), by sponsoring a member ($50), and by making an additional financial gift in any amount. We encourage your contributions to our 501 (c)(4) – CWTA ACTS, but if you prefer to make a tax-deductible gift, please give to CWTA, our 501(c)(3). We need your support to remain strong.

CWTA is grateful for you and all the work you do individually and with CWTA to benefit women. We urge you to express your pride in and gratitude for CWTA by making a financial contribution today. Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Jacky Grimshaw, Chair
